About the Pastor

Pastor SileoReverend Patrick A. Sileo. Pastor Sileo was born and raised in New England and spent the first part of his career as a science teacher and in management at a large medical manufacturing company. In 1997, he and his family moved to southeastern Pennsylvania where they joined a Presbyterian church and Pat became involved as a deacon and youth group adviser. Over the next few years, Pat began to feel God's call toward ministry.

In July 2002, Pat began seminary studies at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. While there, he spent a summer as a student chaplain at Finley Hospital and spent a full year of training at First Presbyterian Church in Dubuque. He also served as pulpit supply for churches in the surrounding area and worked as the seminary-housing manager. After receiving his Masters of Divinity degree in 2005, he has spent the last two years as full-time pastor at First Presbyterian Church near Peoria, Illinois.

There are others on the journey with Pat. First and foremost is Jenise, his wife of fifteen years. She has a degree from Bob Jones University and has worked in corporate retail and education. Most recently, she has served as the children's librarian in Illinois. Pat and Jenise have a son Peter and daughter Nicole who both have gifts in music. Rounding out their family is their Shih Tzu named Frodo. The whole family looks forward to becoming part of God's family in the West Newton area and is excited about returning "home" to Pennsylvania.
