Mission Statement:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and
empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our
faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of
the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to
build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens
the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of
God’s Kingdom.
Meals on Wheels is an Ecumenical mission among the West Newton churches to
provide hot meals to local homebound people. On average 15-20
people are needed to fulfill the demand for delivery. WNUPC
takes on the delivery challenge every six weeks as the weekly
program rotates from church to church. To volunteer, call or
email the church office. If you, or someone you know, is in need
of this program, you may also call the church office.

This church mission provides seasonal baskets for
local families.
This past Thanksgiving, 14 baskets were prepared and delivered.
Monetary donations can be put in the offering and
labeled for the food pantry
(each basket of food costs between $30-$40) . Non-perishables can be donated at any time and
dropped off in the McKee Room; please put a label on the bags.

Located
in the Laurel Mountains in Jennerstown, PA, Pine Springs Camp offers a variety of Christian
ministry camps for children, families, and groups on retreat.
Pine Springs has summer camping programs for school-age children
grades K to 12. Not sure about the overnight part of camping for
the little ones? Newbie campers may want to get their feet wet
by attending Day Camp before taking the plunge for a week-long
stay.
Each year, WNUPC provides scholarship funding for youth in the community to help with camp registration fees. Contact the WNUPC Mission and Evangelism Committee for more information. To visit the Pine Springs Camp website, click on the Pine Tree. Back to top↑
