The Coordinating Team of WNPW meets in March, May, August and November to plan the activities during the year. The CT is comprised of the Moderator, Vice-Moderator, Secretary, Treasurer, Asst. Treasurer, Search Committee, chairs of the Service, Ways and Means, and Mission Committees, Liaisons to Redstone Highlands and Johnstown Home and four members at large.
The activities each committee is responsible for are:
Mission: Lucy James, chair
Sewing Days are the 3rd Friday from 7-9:00PM and the 4th Wednesday from 9 AM to 2 PM in Sept., Oct., Jan., Feb. and March in the McKee Room. Prepare items to be sent to African hospitals – baby blankets, gowns and hats; for local nursing homes – catheter bag covers, clothing protectors, wheelchair and walker bags; for shelters – lightweight quilts; and tote/book bags for students.
Support 4 Missions in Redstone Presbytery by collecting a variety of items they need each October. The missions are the City Mission and Communities in Schools in Uniontown and the Welcome Home Shelter and Blackburn Center for Abused Women in Greensburg.
The Mitten Tree in Dec is used to collect knitted winter accessories for children in Fayette County.
Networkers’ Bed Nets for Malaria Program is supported with donations from selling Mother’s Day cards.
Presbytery and Synod PW Mission Projects. Each year a different project may request a monetary donation or an item to be collected, such as sheets for African hospitals, health kits for disaster victims, donations for Habitat for Humanity and Pine Springs Camp
Coordinates the Birthday (May) and Thank (Nov) Offerings each year. These offerings are celebrated by PW in all local churches nationwide and support mission projects worldwide.

Funeral Dinner is served for the family of any church member
High School Graduates are honored each June with a gift and recognition at worship service
Shut-ins at Christmas are remembered with a poinsettia, gift, or card
Prepare Maundy Thursday Agape Dinner for congregation
Ways and Means:
Apple Dumpling Sales are held in May, October, and November
Knives, utensils, cookie sheets, dishcloths & cookbooks are available year round in the Corner Cupboard in the Social Room, organized by Donna Yelich

Plans programming for the Spring and Winter gatherings
The United Circle
meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month, except June, July, &
August in the Social Room at noon. Everyone is welcome
to attend and bring a sandwich to share for lunch. Volunteer
hostesses provide dessert, which is a celebration of the
members' birthdays that month. A short information meeting
follows, led by circle leaders, Winnie Davis, and Donna Yelich.
Afterwards Dorothy Come presents the Bible Study. Presently we
are studying “Above and Beyond: Hearing God's Call in Jonah and
Ruth.” All members are
encouraged to pray for and send cards to the people on our
Concern List.
Events:
WNPW Spring Gathering in April and Winter Gathering in December. Luncheon is served at noon, followed by a speaker and a short business meeting.
PW in Synod of Trinity Gathering in June at Waynesburg University.
PW Church-wide Gathering in July in Louisville, KY. This is held every third year.
Scholarships:
Through the Jean Day Fund, registration is paid for any WNPW member to attend the Synod or Churchwide Gatherings.
Members Pledges:
Each PW member is requested to pledge an amount each month, called “Second Mile” giving. This supports PW at at all levels and the mission of the PC(USA).
