Worship

"For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." Romans 11:36.

In similar fashion, the Westminster Catechism says that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. This is the heart of worship - glorifying God our Father, praising Jesus Christ our Savior, and embracing the Holy Spirit.  We offer two times to worship each week:  Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.

We invite you to worship with us on Sunday and Wednesday.

SUNDAY WORSHIP - 10:00AM     Held in the sanctuary, this blended worship gathers the congregation to worship God with all its heart, mind and strength.  The flow is somewhat traditional to include calls to worship, prayer of confession, the children's sermon, prayer, and the reading and the proclamation of the word.

WNUPC hopes to bring honor and glory to God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP - 6:29PM     If you are seeking a second weekly worship, an alternate time to worship, or a less formal or different style worship, this may be the worship for you.  Held in the chapel, this is a reflective candlelight worship with a Taize' heart designed to quiet the heart in the middle of a hectic week.  The 6:29 time slot from John 6:29:

"The works of God is this; to know the one who he has sent."

Sacraments - Communion and Baptism

"Do this in remembrance of me." - Luke 22:19

Communion is a time when we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we may be reconciled to God. You do not have to a member of WNUPC to share in the Lord's Supper. The only requirement is that you have personally accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you have never communed with us, please know that the elements are passed to the congregation by elders of the church. contact our pastor to arrange for home communion.

Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month and on Maundy Thursday. On occasion, communion may be offered at other times but these would be under special arrangement.  If physical limitations prevent you from attending worship but you would like to receive communion, please

"He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 3:11

Baptism is the public profession of faith in Jesus Christ and the initial step into membership in His church!  In the case of infant and child baptism, the parents and the congregation make the commitment to teach the child about Jesus Christ and introduce the child into the life of the church.  Adult baptism is the statement by the adult that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior and they are part of the church.
